alligators and things.

Complete the first week of sailing? Check! Week one is done, and handling the vigorous waters just outside the Frenchman Creek (and by vigorous, I mean calm and sometimes barely wavy) was a success… mostly. Each day we rotate groups and boats, and by the end of these three, glorious weeks in The Sunshine State, we will all be professional sailors ready to go solo around the world! Or something like that.

A week of great sailing, great weather, and a lot of learning was followed by an equally exciting weekend. We canoed at alligator-infested Myakka State Park, got our tan on at Siesta Key and St. Pete’s Beach, attended a nearby church, and – my personal favorite – hit up the local laundromat.IMG_8741 IMG_87451 IMG_1408BEACHProcessed with VSCOcam with s6 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with f3 preset  Here’s hoping week two is just as good – if not better – than week one!
